What is SRRC certification?
SRRC certification is a mandatory wireless certification in China. Name: China Radio Transmission Equipment Type Approval Certificate. It is a compulsory certification for electronic products with wireless, Bluetooth, and transmitting frequency. It is tested by a national designated laboratory and certified by the national laboratory.
SRRC is a mandatory certification requirement of the National Radio Regulatory Commission. Since June 1, 1999, the Ministry of Information Industry (MII) of China has mandated that all radio component products sold and used in China must obtain a radio model Radio Type Approval Certification (Radio Type Approval Certification).
The necessity of applying for SRRC certification
1. Only the radio transmission equipment with the type approval code of my country's radio transmission equipment can be sold and used in my country;
2. Legally sell in the Chinese domestic market;
3. Improve the competitiveness of products;
4. Avoid the risk of deduction or fines from being investigated and punished by relevant departments.
Consequences of products not complying with SRRC certification
1. The product cannot be supplied to the Chinese domestic market in accordance with the law;
2. Risks investigated and dealt with by market supervision agencies;
3. Risks (or) fines detained and investigated by relevant market supervision departments;
4. Face the risk of e-commerce platform delisting.
The main inspection content of SRRC pre-test
Since the radio transmission power supported by different products is different, the required detection content also needs to be developed in a targeted manner.
Test items: transmit power, spectrum range, frequency tolerance, bandwidth, spurious radiation, etc.
Certified product types: public mobile communication equipment, wireless access systems, private network equipment, microwave equipment, satellite equipment, radio and television equipment, 2.4GHz/5.8 GHz wireless access equipment, radar and other radio transmission equipment.
If there are individual types that are not included, the test can also be drawn up with reference to the similar equipment above.
Data collector SRRC pre-test handling process
1. After the "Radio Transmission Equipment Type Approval Inspection Report", submit the application materials for the "Radio Transmission Equipment Type Approval Certificate".
2. Download the "Application Form for Radio Transmission Equipment Model Approval" from the radio transmission equipment model approval website; the agency applying unit needs to download the "Authorization Letter for Radio Transmission Equipment Model Approval" at the same time.
3. The application materials for the type approval of radio transmission equipment must be provided in Chinese or English, and materials in other languages must be translated into Chinese or English (the translation unit/department shall affix the official seal).
4. The applicant unit or agency application unit applies online, and waits patiently for the certificate after the submission of the documents is accepted. If the submitted information is unqualified, it will usually be returned soon, and it will take time to pay attention.
5. The administrative licensing decision shall be made within 20 working days from the date of accepting the application for model approval.
6. After the applicant has obtained the "Radio Transmission Equipment Type Approval Certificate" and its approval code, the manufacturer should indicate the radio transmission equipment type approval code (clearly visible during normal installation) on the approved equipment label. It is true that the equipment is too small. If the approval code cannot be marked on it, the model approval code of the device shall be posted in the product manual or user manual.
