Japan’s DENTORL Law (Electrical Device and Material Control Law) stipulates that 498 products must pass safety certification to enter the Japanese market. Among them, 165 types of A products should obtain the diamond-shaped PSE mark (belonging to compulsory certification), and 333 types of B products should obtain the round PSE mark (belonging to voluntary certification).
Type A compulsory certification: special electrical equipment and material products (products that are prone to fire accidents, more dangerous products, more expensive, and need to be audited)
Type B compulsory certification: other electrical equipment and material products (relatively less dangerous products, the cost is cheaper than the diamond shape, no factory audit is required)
